Good day doctor Nagler.

I'm deeply sorry to not reply you back in my last thread. I was about to write a private message to you about this, but I found out this board ( at least within your profile ) can't send private message.

Now I am not here for another tone or whatsoever, but about my anxiety.

I went to watch a movie without any earplugs. I don't go to movies that often. It was an action movie, so sometimes there were action segments and sometimes there were quite segments.

Now I am at home and I have no spikes or any other symptom. However I'm overly worried because I'm thinking that going to the cinema without any protection could have caused damage to my hearing.

Can you give me any advice for this situation?

Thank you, and again sorry!

I can think of two things might possibly offer you just a bit of reassurance ...

First of all, the fact that you have tinnitus does not make you any more susceptible to auditory damage than anybody else.

And second, FWIW, I love to go to the movies, and I never wear earplugs when I go.

All the best -

Stephen M. Nagler, M.D.

Hi Doctor Nagler, thank you for your reply.

At the moment, after my sleep time, I am in the same situation pre-movie ( no spikes etc ) , so I guess yesterday I was in panic mode for no reason at all!

Really really thank you for your precious support Dr. Nagler!
