Thank you doctor for the information for us to stay out all the tinnitus talk Forum you seem to be so correct on this form I think I don't want to get on in the more too many negative and positive people assuming this and that about what we not to eat what to drink one out to drink and all these themselves stuff I have you heard of anybody coming back from her stem cell research that they pay thousands of dollars for a comeback successful as far as hair cells growing back the funny thing nobody know where is come from the tinnitus if they could I think they would have figured it out already it's just so sad people spend millions and thousands of dollars to find out how to take care of this problem if the doctor knew if it was in the ear in the brain I wished it would find something now but I don't know what to say about this subject anymore

..............

Edit note:

Captain123's post directly above (including the question about stem cells) originally appeared in the rTMS thread. Since the post really has nothing to do with rTMS, I am moving it here to its own thread.

Captain, I honestly believe that Tinnitus Talk is the very worst thing that has ever happened to the world-wide community of tinnitus sufferers. The irresponsible individuals who run that board should be ashamed of themselves. Whether it is through their stupidity or just plain greed, the incredible damage that they do cannot be overestimated.

Perhaps, but only because I'm so old that if there's a mistake to be made, likely I've already made it myself!

I do not believe that the key to tinnitus lies in what we eat or drink any more than I believe that the key to playing the violin lies in the brand of motor oil I put in my car.

No.

Well the good news in all of this is that you do not have to know where tinnitus comes from in order to achieve meaningful lasting relief through habituation.

Tinnitus is produced by the brain, usually in response to a peripheral (i.e., outside the brain) circumstance. Most commonly that circumstance is related to the auditory system, but in a small number of cases some feel it might be related to the neck. Indeed, I am aware of a handful of cases where tinnitus started during or immediately after a chiropractic neck adjustment in an individual with no auditory complaints prior to seeing the chiropractor. From a practical standpoint, however, I think whether or not the neck is involved is largely irrelevant - because I have never heard of anybody with intrusive tinnitus whose tinnitus has resolved specifically as the result of some sort treatment directed at the neck.

"Getting a little dizzy" is common whether or not a person has tinnitus. I would assume that the dizziness is not tinnitus-related - and if it persists, I would see your doctor about it.
